WARNING AND SAFETY INFORMATION
Failure to follow the safety information in this instruction manual can lead to serious injuries or death or cause
property damage due to fires/explosions.
Do not use in enclosed spaces! This can cause toxic smoke to accumulate, which can lead to serious bodily harm or even death.
•
Only use the appliance in well ventilated areas. Do not
use in a garage, on a veranda, a covered terrace or any
other space underneath a roof structure.
•
The appliance is not designed to be installed in or on
caravans and/or boats.
•
The appliance must not be used by children.
•
Improper use can be dangerous. The appliance must be
assembled in accordance with the assembly instructions.
•
The grill must always be placed on a firm, level surface.
•
Exercise reasonable care when using the appliance.
•
Never leave the firewood, coal and ashes in the grill
unattended.
•
We recommend using firelighters for igniting charcoal or
firewood. If you decide to use lighter fluids for charcoal or
firewood, only use suitable products that are approved for
igniting charcoal or firewood.
•
Do not use alcohol, petrol or other highly volatile liquids
to ignite the charcoal.
•
Before first use, we recommend heating the grill for
at least 30 minutes to ensure that the coal/firewood is
glowing and to allow the lighter fluid to fully burn off.
•
Failure to do so will cause vapour from the lighter fluid
to accumulate in the grill, which may ignite or explode
suddenly when you lift the grill plate.
•
Never use charcoal which has been treated with lighter
fluid. Always use high-quality charcoal or a mixture of
charcoal and wood.
•
Never pour lighter fluid onto hot or warm coal, as this
can cause a flashback and lead to serious burn injuries.
•
Remove any coal and/or wood residue from the side walls
of the grill. Failure to do so will significantly shorten the
lifespan of the appliance.
•
Clean the grill thoroughly after each use. Cover the grill
to protect it against excessive rust buildup. Acidic foods
can cause rust to form on the stainless steel parts if they
are not properly cleaned or maintained.

WARNING! Do not use spirit or petrol to ignite or reignite the grill!
Only use firelighters that comply with EN 1860-3 standards.
WARNING! Keep away from children and pets!

We recommend that you should always have access to a
fire extinguisher. Contact your local authorities to enquire
about the correct size and type of fire extinguisher for
your needs.
•
When the grill is not in use, store it in a dry location out of
the reach of children.
•
Keep this appliance away from flammable materials
during use. There must be no flammable materials within
1 metre of the appliance.
•
The grilling area (3 metres around the appliance) must
not contain any ignition sources (e.g. pilot flames on
boilers or live electrical appliances) or flammable
vapours/liquids (e.g. petrol or alcohol).
•
Keep electrical cables and gas/fuel pipes away from
heated surfaces.
•
Do not remove the ashes until the charcoal/firewood has
fully burned and extinguished and the grill has cooled
down.
•
Do not wear loose-sleeved clothing when using the grill.
•
Use long-handled barbecue tools and oven gloves to
prevent burn injuries and splashes. Wear protective
gloves when handling hot parts.
•
Do not use the grill in very windy conditions.
•
Never touch the grill plate, ash, charcoal, firewood or the
grill itself in order to check whether they are hot.
•
Do not use water to control the flames or extinguish the
charcoal/wood.
•
Never tip hot coal/firewood or ash in an area that may be
accessed inadvertently or where there is a fire risk. Do
not remove the ash, coal or firewood until it has cooled
down completely. Do not clear away the grill until the ash
or coal/firewood has completely extinguished.
•
This grill is not designed to function as a heater and must
not be used as such.
•
Before moving the grill, allow it to cool down
completely.
