6. Install the top of the sample flow cell. Do the illustrated steps in
opposite order.
7. Do the steps in
Start the flow of sample water
6.6 Replace the PAH500 sensor
If the sensor calibration fails after the sensor is cleaned, contact the scrubber manufacturer before
the PAH500 sensor is replaced. Refer to the PAH500 User Manual for calibration and cleaning
instructions.
Replace the PAH500 sensor as follows:
1. Do the steps in
Remove the water from the instrument
2. Put on personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to the contaminants in the sample
water.
3. Remove the PAH500 sensor and digital gateway for the PAH500 sensor. Refer to the installation
steps in the PAH500 User Manual. Do the installation steps in the opposite order.
To release the tubing from the sensor, push and hold down the end of the quick-connect fitting
and pull the tubing out.
Note: The PAH500 sensor and digital gateway are a programmed pair. Do not replace the sensor or digital
gateway independently.
4. Install a new PAH500 sensor and digital gateway for the PAH500 sensor . Refer to the installation
steps in the PAH500 User Manual.
5. Do the steps in
Start the flow of sample water
6.7 Replace the turbidimeter
If the turbidimeter calibration fails after the measurement chamber is cleaned and the wiper profiles
are replaced, contact the scrubber manufacturer before the turbidimeter is replaced. Refer to the
turbidimeter manual for calibration and maintenance instructions.
Replace the turbidimeter as follows:
1. Do the steps in
Remove the water from the instrument
2. Put on personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to the contaminants in the sample
water.
3. Remove the turbidimeter.
4. Install a new turbidimeter. Refer to the installation steps in the Ultraturb sc User Manual.
5. Do the steps in
Start the flow of sample water
Section 7 Troubleshooting
Refer to the controller, turbidimeter and/or sensor user manual(s) for descriptions of the warning and
error messages shown on the controller.
Section 8 Parts and accessories
Personal injury hazard. Use of non-approved parts may cause personal injury, damage
to the instrument or equipment malfunction. The replacement parts in this section are
approved by the manufacturer.
