4.4 Prepare the pH sensor
If the instrument has a pH sensor, do the steps that follow:
1. Do the steps in
Remove the water from the instrument
2. Put on personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to the contaminants in the sample
water.
3. Remove the top of the sample flow cell. Refer to the illustrated steps in

4. Remove the black storage cap from the end of the pH sensor. Keep the storage cap for future
use.
5. Calibrate the pH sensor. Refer to the pH sensor manual for instructions.
