3.5 Electrical installation
3.5.1 Install the electrical cables
1. Install the electrical cables as shown in
Refer to the sections that follow for the terminal connections and wire specifications.
2. Connect the protective earth ground cable to a dry, clean grounding pole that has low impedance
(< 1 Ω). Refer to
Figure
3. If conduit is used for power, replace the cable strain-relief gland with a conduit fitting.
To keep the enclosure rating, make sure that all cable strain-relief glands that are not used are
sealed. For example, put a plug in a cable strain-relief gland that is not used.
4. After the wires are connected, tighten the cable strain-relief or conduit fittings, close the electrical
enclosure and tighten the screws.
