WARNING!
Risk of injury due to leaks caused by cutting to
length!
If RGB+W LED tubes are cut to length outside of the intended end areas
(approx. 10 mm per end), the sealing function is no longer guaranteed.
This can result in short circuits, fire, and electric shocks.
– Do not cut more than 10 mm to length at each end of the LED tube.
– Do not cut the ends of LED tubes to length again if such tubes have
already been cut to length.
– Only cut off LED strips at a 90° angle.
1. If necessary, adjust the intended position of the mounting profile "Adjusting the installa-
tion depth of the LED module" on page 65 .
2. Feed the feed-through cable into the mounting profile via the cable opening.
3. Embed the mounting profile in the adhesive.
4. Tile the mounting profile.
5. Tile the side walls of the niche. In doing so, ensure that the tile and adhesive do not
become thicker than 10 mm.
6. Measure the thickness of the tile and adhesive at both side walls.
7. Shorten the end of the LED tube without the connection cable according to the meas-
urement result.
8. Shorten the end of the LED tube with the connection cable according to the measure-
ment result.
9. Establish the plug connection between the LED tube and the connection cable in the
feed-through socket. In doing so, ensure that the plug connectors fully click into place.
10. Plug in the mains plug of the power supply.
> The LED tube lights up white.
11. If the LED strip works as described, proceed to step 12. If not, unplug the power supply
and correct the error ( » "Potential faults" on page 76 ) before starting again from step
9.
12. Place the LED tube with the end without the connection cable flush with the tile back-
splash for the side wall of the niche and press it in.
13. Press in the LED tube along its full length. In doing so, push the connection cable into
the feed-through socket.
14. Press the LED tube lengthwise into the mounting profile. In doing so, feed the connec-
tion cable and the plug connection into the feed-through socket via the cable opening
and push it completely into the feed-through socket.
> The full length of the LED tube is fully pressed into the mounting profile. The con-
nection cable of the LED strip and the plug connection between the LED strip and
the feed-through cable are completely in the feed-through socket. The inserted LED
strip seals the cable opening from penetration by moisture.
