21. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
The product does not require any maintenance. You should never take it apart.
The product should only be repaired by a specialist or specialist workshop or it might be
damaged. Furthermore, the CE approval will become void as well as the guarantee/
warranty.
Clean the product only with a soft, clean, dry and fuzz-free cloth. Do not use cleaning
agents as they may corrode the casing and wear off the labelling.
Dust can be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
22. HANDLING
• Observe all safety instructions in these operating instructions. They provide
you with important information about the dangers involved when handling
battery chargers and batteries.
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
Children cannot judge the dangers involved when handling chargers or
batteries.
• Avoid the following unfavourable ambient conditions at the place of installa-
tion, during operation or transport:
- moisture or high humidity
- extreme cold (< 0°C) or heat (> +35?), direct sunlight
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibrations, impacts or blows
- strong magnetic fields as present near machines or loudspeakers
• Place the charger on a level, firm surface. It must be large enough so that
the battery or battery pack attached can be safety placed alongside the
charger. Maintain a sufficient distance between the charger and battery (and
the power supply) to prevent them from heating each other up.
The battery/battery pack may not be placed on or under the charger!
• When setting up and using the product, make sure that the cable is not
folded or squeezed.
