For NiMH, NiCd or Pb batteries, you can set the so-called trickle charge here.
Briefly press the button "ENTER/START". Now the charge current blinks; set it as usual
with the buttons "INC" or "DEC" (50...200mA). When selecting "OFF", the function is
deactivated. Save the setting with the button "ENTER/START"; the voltage stops blink-
ing.

As soon as a charge process starts, the internal timer starts as well. If the charger
cannot detect whether the battery is fully charged for whatever reason (e.g. with delta-U
detection), the charge process is terminated automatically after a set time if the safety
timer is set to ON. This protects the battery from overloading.
However, do not set a time which is too short, otherwise the battery cannot be fully
charged.
Calculate the time for the safety timer as follows:
Examples:
Battery capacity Charge current Timer time
2000mAh
3300mAh
1000mAh
Factor 11.9 is used to ensure that 40% more time is available before the safety timer
kicks in.
Briefly press the button "ENTER/START". "ON" (or "OFF") then starts to blink in the
bottom display line.
