3.3.2. Motor
The motor consists of a stator and the motor shaft with
the impeller assembly. The line for the power supply is de-
signed for maximum mechanical performance according
to the characteristic line or the pump type plate. The ca-
ble entry points and lines are water tight sealed from the
pumped medium. The shaft bearing is done via a robust,
maintenance-free and lubricated roller bearing.

3.3.3. Monitoring Equipment
Temperature Sensor
With standard single-phase motor, the temperature sen-
sors are (if installed) connected internally in the engine, so
that no special connection is necessary. After cooling, the
motor restarts automatically.
Check direction of rotation
All pumps have the correct direction when connected to
a clockwise rotating field (U, V, and W -> L1, L2, and L3).
HOMA switching devices check the network for clock-
wise rotation. If there is no clockwise rotation, the red
LED lights is on. Two phases can be exchanged at the
input of the switching device. For smaller pumps, the in-
spection can be done by observing the starting jerk. For
this, place the pump vertically, slightly on the edge and
switch it on briefly. Seen from above, with the correction
rotation, the pump jerks slightly counterclockwise.
The correct direction of rotation is given, when the pump
moves counter-clockwise, as seen from above, the motor
starts in the clockwise direction.
ATTENTION
The direction of rotation
is correct if the
impeller/propeller rotates
in a clockwise manner
when viewing down from
top of the placed unit
Warning of rotating impeller!
Do not touch the rotating impeller or reach through
the pressure socket into the pump chamber! During
operation, never reach into the pump chamber or the
rotating parts. Before maintenance or repair work,
switch off the machine and allow the rotating parts
come to a halt!
