9.7.1.2 Installing the stucco guard plate
If the appliance is placed less than 35 cm from a non combustible wall, we recommend installing the stucco guard
plate supplied with the front models. Without this plate, the stucco or the paint layer can be damaged by high
temperatures.
Proceed as follows:
Ø
Allow the guard plate at the back of the glue gas duct to rest on the appliance.
Ø
Then press the plate against the flue gas duct.
Ø
Drill 4 holes (Ø 4 mm) and fasten the plate with the supplied screws (see appendix 2, fig. 22).
This plate does not provide protection against combustible materials!
!Caution
9.7.1.3 Wall and bottom lining
The plates are located on the bottom and against the back and side walls of the appliance (see appendix 2,
fig. 11). When replacing the plates, these will have to be taken out.
The bottom plate must be removed first, then the side wall plates and finally the rear plates.
Placing the plates takes place in reverse order.
Ensure that the plates are placed back in their original positions! The rear plate, for instance, must be placed with
!Caution
the small, not countersunk, holes towards the front. The rounded, top side of the side plates should be on the side
of the door.
9.7.1.4 Flame baffle plate
At delivery, the flame baffle plate (see appendix 2, fig. 12 and 13a) is located in the top section of the appliance.
When performing maintenance at the appliance, the flame baffle plate must be removed.
Follow the procedure described below:
Ø
Take hold of the flame baffle plate and lift the rear slightly upwards.
Ø
Slide the flame baffle plate over the ridge to the rear.
Ø
Lower the front of the flame baffle plate and remove the flame baffle plate.
Placing the flame baffle plate takes place in reverse order.
9.7.2 Odin Fixed
9.7.2.1 Placing the appliance
This appliance must be suspended from the ceiling.

!CAUTION
When placing the appliance, proceed as follows (see appendix 2, fig. 5, 14, 15 and 16):
Ø
A sliding pipe (0.5 metre long) is supplied with the appliance. Ensure that the pipe starts at the bottom of the
double-walled duct and protrudes approximately 150 mm from the ceiling (fig. 16-5).
Ø
Determine the position of the flue exhaust based on appendix 2, fig. 15). Keep a minimum distance of 402 mm
into account from the appliance to the combustible wall (see A in appendix 2, fig. 15).

!Tip
For details we would like to refer you to appendix 2, fig. 15).
Ø
Slide the ceiling plate (fig. 14-2) over the sliding pipe against the ceiling and mark out the 8 (recessed) fastening
holes.
Ø
Drill the 8 holes and push the supplied key bushes (fig. 14-1) in the ceiling.
Ø
Attach the ceiling plate (fig. 14-2) to the ceiling with the 8 Allen screws (fig. 14-3).
Ø
Grab the supplied rigid pipe (fig. 14-4) and slide the lock ring (fig. 14-5) from the bottom side carefully around the
rigid pipe.
Use the supplied aerosol with heat-resistant paint to repair possible damages.
!Tip
Ø
Press the lock ring and rigid pipe against the ceiling plate and fasten them with the 8 Allen screws (fig. 14-7).
Ø
Remove the flame baffle plate. See section 9.6.2.3.
Ø
Place the appliance, using a lift table or scissor jack, under the rigid tube (fig. 16-4) and fasten the appliance with 3
bolts and accompanying rings (fig. 16-2 and 3) to the rigid pipe.
Ø
If applicable, place the restrictor tray (see section 9.2.2) and the flame baffle plate (see appendix 2,
fig. 5, 12 and 13).
Ø
Adjust the appliance in the required position.
Ø
Screw the 3 small hexagon socket screws (fig. 14-6) against the flange attached to the pipe (fig. 14-4).
