This helmet has been produced under strict conditions and is certified according to the following
standard: EN 1385 : 04/2012 – helmet for canoeing and whitewater sports and Guidelines for
Personal Protection Equipment : 2016/425
WARNING! Certified helmets can offer you the best protection for the head against accidents but
please note that no helmet is indestructible and the risk of head injuries is always present. No
helmet can protect the wearer from all foreseeable accidents. Depending on the type of impact,
even a very low-speed accident can result in a serious head injury or fatality. This helmet is
designed to protect the head and cannot protect against cervical, spine or other bodily injuries
that may result from an accident. Before use, please verify that the helmet is correctly in place.
Carefully read this instruction manual before using your helmet to better understand its functions,
maintenance and usage. Please keep this manual for as long as you have the helmet.
1) Usage
This helmet is made to absorb a part of the energy of a blow or impact. It is not suitable for:
motor sport, moped or other motorized vehicles. WARNING! Please note that it is necessary for
children to remove their helmets before entering playgrounds. This helmet should not be used
by children when climbing or when a risk of strangling or hanging oneself exists, in case the child
gets caught with the helmet.
2) Optimum fit and placement
In order to fulfill its protective function, your helmet must be perfectly adjusted to your head. The
helmet must be positioned so that the front is level with the back and parallel to the ground so
that you make sure you can see clearly and that your peripheral vision is not blocked.
3) Tightening the fit
Adjusting the helmet to the individual head size can be achieved with the simple-to-use fitting
system. Turn the adjustment wheel at the back of the helmet to adjust the diameter of the head
ring to your head. To verify if your helmet is correctly adjusted, shake your head; your helmet
should not move forward, backward or sideways.
4) Adjusting the straps
When wearing the helmet for the first time, please adjust the straps so that they
meet tightly and comfortably beneath the ears (1). Adjust the straps so that they
form a "Y" with the intersection right below the ear lobe without covering it. The
strap must pass under the jaw near the throat and should not be against the chin.
Adjust the strap length to be comfortable yet snug, using the plastic sliders and
the chin buckle (2). To see if your straps are correctly adjusted put on your helmet, buckle and
unbuckle it. Open your mouth. You should feel a slight tension against your throat. Try and pull
the helmet from both the front and back; it should not budge. If the helmet moves, adjust and
tighten the straps again until it fits properly. The helmet should not budge forward or backward.
WARNING! You should not be able to be remove the helmet when it is buckled. The helmet is
equipped with a retention system designed to keep the helmet from coming loose in case of
an accident.
Your helmet should not be tilted back
on your head in order to correctly
protect your forehead (see drawing).
5) Storage, proper maintenance and care
The helmet should be stored in a dry place. Do not expose the helmet to temperatures over 50°C
(122°F), this exposure may damage the helmet and reduce its protective abilities. Do not store
behind glass, such as in a car (burning glass effect), near heaters, or near any other heat source.
If this happens, replace your helmet; its effectiveness may be compromised even if there is no
visible evidence of damage. Do not apply stickers or paint to the helmet as this can be damaging
to the materials and affect its performance. Never modify the helmet or use it for any other means
other than the previously stated. Always use original spare parts. If you suspect that the helmet
has received a large impact while in use or otherwise, even if there is no visible damage, replace
the helmet. This helmet has a limited service life and should be replaced when it shows obvious
signs of wear, impact or no longer fits correctly. Please check on a regular basis if your helmet
presents any sign of damage. We recommend replacing your helmet every five years after the
first use. The foam on the interior can be removed and hand washed using lukewarm water and
solvent-free detergents. The helmet's outer shell and head ring can be cleaned using lukewarm
water, solvent-free detergents, and a soft cloth.
6) Warranty
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any direct or indirect damage. The warranty
applies only to the helmets that have been correctly used, following the instructions presented
in this manual. This warranty does not cover signs of wear and normal usage. The warranty does
not cover any damage caused by accidents, negligence, mistreatment, incorrect adjustments or
any usage except the usage recommended by the manufacturer. Any modification made by the
user will void this warranty. This warranty does not cover any damage caused by exposure of the
helmet to high temperatures.

This helmet is intended for canoeing and white water sports. This helmet is not intended for
use in whitewater Class 5 and 6 as given by the International Canoe Federation. For adequate
protection this helmet has to fit or be adjusted to the size of the user's head. This helmet is
designed to help protect from bumps, scratches and concussion. The helmet is made to absorb
the energy of a blow by partial destruction or damage to the shell and the harness, and even
though such damage may not be readily apparent, any helmet subjected to severe impact should
be replaced. Do not modify or remove any of the original component parts of the helmet, other
than as recommended by the helmet manufacturer. Helmets should not be adapted for the
purpose of fitting attachments in any way not recommended by the helmet manufacturer. Do not
apply paint, solvents, adhesives or self-adhesives labels, except in accordance with instructions
from the helmet manufacturer. For cleaning, maintenance or disinfection, use only substances
that have no adverse effect on the helmet and are safe for the wearer, an apply in accordance
with the manufacturer's instructions and information.
