LIGHTING

1.
Open the lid and remove the grill.
2.
Fill the YAKINIKU® with charcoal until the round air vents. Please note:
never fill up above the coal basket.
3.
Open the ventilation slide at the bottom and the sliding cap on top to the
maximum.
4.
Light 3 to 4 firelighters and spread them in the middle between the charcoal.
The firelighters can be bought on the website https://www.yakinikugrill.com/
5.
Close the lid and let the temperature rise.
6.
Wait until the YAKINIKU
or other accessories.
7.
When the thermometer indicates the desired temperature (normally
between 150ºC and 200ºC), you need to reduce the ventilation by putting
the sliding hood and ventilation slide in the correct position. Warming lasts
no more than 20 minutes. You can control the temperature even more
accurately afterwards. An opening of 0.5 cm below and above is the most
common position. The bigger the opening, the higher the temperature.
8.
As soon as the thermometer indicates the desired temperature, you can
start grilling.
9.
After barbecuing, both vents must be closed to extinguish the fire. The fire
will go out quickly and the YAKINIKU
move the YAKINIKU
Tip: For best results, use 100% natural charcoal.

CLEANING

Follow some basic maintenance instructions to make your YAKINIKU
grill better for years to come!
For proper air flow and better grilling, the accumulated ash and old charcoal
must be removed from the boiler and ash before use. Before you do that,
make sure that all charcoal is completely extinguished and the grill cooled
down.
You may see "paint-like" flakes on the inside of the lid. During use, grease
and smoke fumes slowly oxidize into carbon and are deposited on the
inside of the lid. Brush the charred grease from the inside of the lid with a
stainless steel grill brush. To minimize accumulation, the inside of the lid
can be taken off with a paper towel after grilling while the grill is still warm
(not hot).
