3. Installation
3.1. Pump & Mattress
NOTE: Unpack the box to inspect for any damage which may have occurred
during shipment. If there are any damages, please contact your dealer
immediately.
(1) Place the mattress on top of bed frame and foot print toward foot end. Secure the mattress
firmly by fixing the straps to bed frame to ensure mattress will be free from sliding. Securing
straps are located on the base of the mattress
NOTE: Make sure that ALL the Relief knobs and emergency CPR knob are
closed and locked in position.
CAUTION: Placing another layer of sheet or bed linen between the patient
and the mattress may reduce the benefits provided by the mattress and
should be avoided at all time.
(2) Hang the pump onto bed panel at the foot-end and adjust hangers to hang the pump to best
upright position, or place the pump on a flat surface.
(3) Connect the air hose connector of air mattress and the electrical cord of position sensor to
the pump unit. Make sure the air hose connection is completed and secured when a "click"
sound is felt or heard and position sensor assemble the alignment with the arrow pointing
up.
NOTE: Check and ensure the air hose is not kinked or tucked under
mattress.
NOTE: Auto recognition mattress of Optima Auto.
