Always make sure you follow these instructions before using the lift:
Always carry out a daily check before
using the lift;
Always read the instruction manuals
for the lift and the lifting accessories.
Determine what you need to do be-
fore you start using the lift;
The caregiver should always familiarize
himself/herself with the controls and
safety devices before attempting to lift
a client;
Only use slings that are recommended
for use with this lift.
Ensure that the correct lifting acces-
sories are being used in terms of type,
size, material and design to meet the
client's needs;
Make sure the lift accessories are not
damaged;
Ensure that the brakes are intact;
any missing or damaged brakes must
always be replaced;
The lifting accessories are correctly
attached to the lift;
Ensure that the clips of the sling are
correctly clipped to the hanger bar
after the sling has been fully extended,
but before the client has been actually
lifted.
Ensure the batteries are fully charged;
