Transferring the client
1.
Move the lift backwards so that the legs
can be closed again (2nd button on the
hand control, figure 1).
2.
Start moving the client. For the comfort
of the client it is better to keep to short
distances.
3.
Once you have reached your destination,
you can open the legs of the lift (if neces-
sary) before getting close to another object
(e.g. chair/toilet).
4.
Using the 4-point hanger bar, place the
client in a sitting position when he/she is
above the chair or wheelchair or into a
recumbent position if the client is above
his/her bed.
5.
Lower the client by holding down the
relevant down button until the client is in a
safe position.
Detaching the sling
1.
Only detach the sling when the client is
fully placed on a solid surface such as a bed
or wheelchair.
2.
Ensure that the hanger bar cannot hit the
client and then detach the sling from the
hanger bar.
3.
Check that all connection points are loose
before doing anything else.
4.
Move the lift away and park it in a safe
place.
5.
When the lift is parked, the brakes of the
castors can be applied.
