Mounting the protective hood
Remove the 2 screws (A) on the protective hood
(5) with the enclosed Allen key (34).
Screw the protective hood (5) protective hood bracket
(8).
Assembling / Disassembling
the drive unit / lower tube shaft
Loosen the wing screw (25) on the drive unit (1). The
button cover (26) swings upwards. Pull the protective cap
(B) off the lower tube shaft (2).
Slide the lower tube shaft (2) against the stop into the
clutch on the drive unit (1) until it engages.
The hole (C) in the lower tube shaft (2) must hereby
be exactly aligned with the unlocking button (D).
Flip down the button cover (26) and
tighten the wing screw (25).
Loosen the wing screw (25) for disassembly. Press the
unlocking button (D) down to the stop and pull off the lower
tube shaft (2) from the drive unit (1).
Mounting the handle
Remove the four screws (E) from the holding plate (27).
Position the handle (3) centred in the handle holder (F).

Assembly
Screw the holding plate on the handle holder.
Fix the throttle cable (3a) on the drive unit (1) and on the
handle (3) using the cable ties (40).
Make sure when fastening that the throttle cable (3a) is
not twisted or kinked.
Fixing the carrying strap
Hook the unit with running engine on the double
shoulder belt (4).
Make sure that the snap hook (4b) of the carrying
strap is assembled and hooked in the carrying strap
suspension eye (4a).
Mounting the thread spool (grass trimmer)
Align the hole in the protective cape with the hole on
the angular gear (9) and lock the drive shaft using the
screwdriver (39).
Unscrew the hexagon nut (28) clockwise. Use the
socket wrench (38) for this purpose. Remove the cover (29)
and the spacer washer (30).
Screw the thread spool (6) counter clockwise on the
drive shaft (H).
To this end, lock the drive shaft again in the angular gear (9)
using the screwdriver (39).
Mounting the cutting blade (brush cutter)
Remove the hexagon nut (28), cover (29) and the
spacer disk (30) as described under "Assembling the thread
spool".
Put the cutting blade (7) on the drive shaft (H) followed
by the spacer washer (28) and cover (29). Screw the
hexagon nut (28) counter clockwise on the drive shaft.
Tighten the hexagon nut (28) using the socket wrench
(38).
To this end, lock the drive shaft in the angular gear (9)
using the screwdriver (39).
Before the first start-up
The engine of the machine is supplied without gasoline
and oil in it. Fill the unit as described in "Fuelling" and
"Filling engine oil"
Preparing for start-up
Gasoline
Utmost care is required when handling fuel and oil.
Do not smoke. Keep away open flames (risk of
explosion).
Clean fresh non-leaded gasoline having an
octane number of 91 as a minimum
Do not fill in leaded petrol, diesel or other non-approved fuels.
