Maintenance

Comply with EN 13564 during maintenance.
The dismantling/installation of the pump is described under installation ("Installing and removing the pump(s)", page 33).
7.1

Inspecting the operating valve

An inspection of the operating valve of all Ecolift SWAs must be carried out monthly by a competent expert.
To check the correct operation of the operating valve, open and close the emergency closure lever several times.
7.2
Maintenance interval
The system must be maintained regularly by a competent person. The intervals may not be longer than:
1/2 year for apartment buildings or in the commercial sector
1 year in detached or semi-detached houses
The maintenance interval is valid for all maintenance activities described below.
A maintenance record with details of all the work carried out and the main data must be prepared for each maintenance
inspection. If defects are found that cannot be corrected, the competent person must notify the system owner/operating com-
pany immediately.
7.3

Leak test of the backwater flap

Move the mechanical emergency closure lever to the
CLOSED position.
Close the motor-driven flap by pressing the „flap" button.
Screw the drain plug out.
Screw the testing funnel in place.
Pour water into the funnel up to the test pressure height
of 10 cm and observe the water level for 10 minutes. If
necessary, keep the water level to the original level by
refilling.
The backwater valve is considered watertight if no more
than 0.5 litres of water has to be refilled during this time.
Note the result in the log book or maintenance log.
Unscrew the test funnel, screw back in the screw plug
including seal.
Move the emergency closure lever to the OPEN position.
Check whether the drain plug is sealed tight (no gap).
Open the motor-driven flap by pressing the „flap" button.
7.4
Functional check
Check the display of the Comfort Plus control unit for possible fault messages.
Manual function test on Comfort Plus and, if installed, on the redundant flap control unit
Close the (sewer end) flap (using the "flap" button).
Ensure inflow (clean water).
Manual function test of "redundant flap" control unit, if present.
Close the (house end) flap (using the "flap" button).
Ensure inflow (clean water).
Wait to see if the pump pumps.
If pump is pumping, stop inflow.
Wait until the pumping process is finished. If two pumps are installed, repeat the procedure.
If necessary, re-open the redundant flap by operating the flap button of the redundant control unit.
Re-open the flap by operating the manual operation button of the Comfort Plus control unit.
Check the function of emergency closure lever by briefly closing and re-opening
