First, turn the hand wheels to move the piston all the
way down. To fill, rotate the piston no further than half-
way up, and then empty it again.
If filling is not possible, see Troubleshooting, p. 83
Then rotate the hand wheel half way several times to aspi-
rate liquid, each time using a single stroke to the lower posi-
tion to empty it into the bottle. Repeat the procedure ap-
proximately 5 times until there are no more large air bubbles
under the piston.
A few bubbles less than 1 mm in size are permitted.

Unscrew the screw cap of the titrating tube.

Turn the valve to 'Titrate'.
f.
Hold a suitable receiving vessel under the opening of
the titrating tube and dispense liquid to deaerate the
titrating tube until it is bubble-free. Wipe away any re-
maining drops from the titrating tube tip.
