Safety

Insert the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the product and make sure the polarity (+)
and (-) is correct.
■
Clean the contacts of batteries/rechargeable batteries and those in the battery compart
ment with a dry, lint-free cloth or cotton swab before inserting them.
■
Immediately remove spent batteries/rechargeable batteries from the product.
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK/MORTAL DANGER
Danger due to electricity
■
Do not immerse the product and the power unit in water or other liquids; risk of an electric
shock.
■
Do not touch the product and the power unit with damp hands and do not operate it
outdoors or in rooms with high humidity.
■
Do not place any containers with liquids, such as vases or similar, on or near the product
and the power unit. The container can topple and the liquid can impair electrical safety.
■
Never open or remove the housing of the product and the power unit. There are live parts
on the inside of the housing that can cause an electric shock when touched.
■
Do not insert any objects into the opening of the product; they can touch live parts which
posess the risk of an electric shock.
■
Pull the power unit out of the mains socket if faults occur (such as malfunctions or smoke)
during operation, after operation and during thunderstorms. Always pull on the power
unit, not on the power cable.
■
Pull the power unit out of the main socket to completely disconnect the product from the
power supply. The power unit always consumes a small quantity of electricity as long as it
is connected to a mains socket, even if the product is not connected to the power unit.
■
The mains socket must always be easy to reach so that you can quickly pull out the power
unit in the case of an emergency.
■
Install the power unit cable so that no-one can trip over it. Do not bend or crush the power
unit cable.
■
Keep the power unit cable away from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
■
Do not modify the product or the power unit.
■
Only have repairs on the product or the power unit carried out by an expert workshop.
Improper repairs can pose significant risks for the user.
