Battery charger: check the battery charger power cable periodically for pos-
sible damage; if the cable is damaged, the battery charger cannot be used.

Make certain the power sockets to which the battery charger is connected
are properly earthed and protected by a 2-pole thermal magnetic switch

NEVER unplug the battery charger by tugging on the power cable; grip the
plug, not the cable.

NEVER touch the battery charger power cable with wet hands.

Do NOT use extension cables with the battery charger.

Do NOT charge the battery outdoors.
•
Do NOT expose the battery to temperatures above 100°C / 212°F.

Charge the battery at a temperature between + 4°C / 39.2°F and + 40°C /
104°F.

Do NOT short circuit the battery or battery charger terminals with conduc-
tive objects such as paper clips, the battery could ignite or explode.
•
Do NOT crush, drop, incinerate or damage the battery.
•
Do NOT use a damaged battery in any way.
•
In the case of gel batteries, never attempt to remove the battery cover to
add water or acid to the cell/s inside.
•
When using acid for leak-proof tubular batteries, always follow the safety
instructions scrupulously.
•
The electrolyte contained in batteries is a sulphuric acid solution and is
highly corrosive.
•
In the event of contact with the eyes, wash immediately with plenty of
water and seek medical advice
•
In the event of contact with the skin or clothing, wash with plenty of
water.
•
Store out of the reach of children.
•
Use suitable gloves and protect the eyes and face.
•
Make sure that the area is well ventilated before recharging batteries.
•
Ensure the battery is disposed of correctly, in compliance with current local
environmental regulations. Do not throw the battery away as household
refuse.
