General advice about sawing
•
Do not try to press the saw against one of the sides.
•
Release the switch immediately if the saw blade fastens in the workpiece.
•
Empty the dust bag (if fitted) when necessary.
When sawing thin sheet metal, place a piece of wood under the workpiece (s) to avoid deforming
•
the sheet. Remember to use a saw blade suitable for sawing in metal.
•
Lubricate the point of sawing with lubricant when cutting metal. Use paraffin oil for aluminium.
Changing the saw blade
The saw must be set up for crosscut/mitre sawing (as described above).
Lift the top part of the saw to its full extent.
•
•
Turn the saw blade by hand, while pressing in the spindle lock (6) until the saw blade is locked.
•
Remove the lock nut (11) on the blade spindle using a spanner, lift the blade guard and remove the
outer flange (10) and saw blade. Slacken the retaining bolt clockwise. Do not dispose of the used
saw blade in household waste. Dispose of it according to local authority regulations.
Remove any shavings and sawdust from around the spindle and flanges.
•
•
Fit the new saw blade, outer flange and lock nut. Tighten the retaining bolt by turning it anti-
clockwise.
