Fitting the parallel fence
Fit the parallel fence (j) on the guide rail (19) and secure it in the required position (can be fitted on either
side of the saw blade) using the clamping screw (m) at the end of the parallel fence.
Slacken the adjusting screw (k) at the back of the parallel fence (l) and adjust the parallel fence so that its
back edge is level with the front edge of the saw blade. Tighten the adjusting screw again.
Make sure the parallel fence is parallel with the saw blade. If it is not, slacken the adjustment screw to the
right of the clamping screw, adjust the parallel fence until it is parallel with the saw blade, and then tighten
the adjustment screw again.
The parallel fence has a bulge at the end of one side. This bulge must be turned in towards the saw blade
when sawing small workpieces, and away from the saw blade for other sawing. The parallel fence can be
turned in the required direction by fully unscrewing the adjusting screw, removing the parallel fence, and
then fitting it again with the bulge turned in the right direction. Tighten the adjusting screw again.
Adjusting bevel angle
Slacken the bevel setting handle (under the angled saw table) and angle the saw blade using the depth
adjustment knob to the required angle in relation to the worktable. Tighten bevel adjustment knob.
Fitting the bevel guide
Place the bevel guide in the outer slot on the worktable to the left or right of the saw blade, set it to the
required angle and lock by tightening the bolt.
Adjusting the cutting depth
Turn the depth adjustment knob to set the cutting depth. The saw blade must be a maximum of 2-3 mm
higher than the top of the workpiece. Check that the saw blade does not catch on any of the other
parts of the saw when the top part is lowered down.
