Measuring equipment for determining the total hardness
1. Scope of delivery

2. Operation
1. Rinse the cuvette well with the water sample.
2. Then fill it with water up to the 5 ml (or 10 ml) mark.
3. Add the titration indicator drop by drop and briefly shake the cuvette after each drop
until the titration indicator is completely mixed with the sample.
4. Count the drops until the colour changes from red to green. If the sample does not turn
red with the first drop, the hardness is < 1 °d (or < 0.5 °d).
5. Each drop corresponds to 1 °d with 5 ml or 0.5 °d with 10 ml.
Conversion: 1 °d = 1.78 °f = 0.178 mmol/L.
