Cartridge exhausted
If the demineralising capacity of the permasoft is exhausted, an
→ OK
acoustic signal sounds, the display illumination changes to red and
the dry contact closes or opens. At the same time, the motorised
valve closes and the pump switches off. Pressing ESC for more
than 3 seconds will take you back to the function menu and you
can select a new permasoft, confirm it and continue working in
the desired operating mode.
Desalination ended
The set target conductivity has been achieved. The motorised
→ OK
valve closes and the pump switches off. The residual capacity of
the permasoft remains on the display.

Lower pH
In the "Lower pH" function, the permaLine only switches off at a
conductivity of 100 μS/cm at the outlet of the permasoft (conduc-
tivity 2), thus the permasoft passes into the acidic range. The target
conductivity is not queried in this mode, as the unit is programmed
to operate permasoft in the acidic range for as long as possible.
If the system water reaches a conductivity of 25 μS/cm, the motor-
ised valve also closes and switches off the pump.
pH increase/stabilisation with PT-PHI
The pH value is adjusted after treatment of the heating water in inline operation using the
PT-PHI pH stabilisation cartridges, which are located in the matching IL-MK measuring case
in 6 different sizes. PT-PHIs are used instead of PT-PS 5000IL/21000 ILs after reaching the
target conductivity of approx. 60 μS/cm.

The PT-PHIs contain inorganic salts, which raise the pH value and stabilise it at the same
time (buffering), but are free of inhibitors.
As a result of the introduced stabilising agent, the conductivity in the treated system water
increases by 20 to 70 μS/cm. Therefore, it is recommended to set the target conductivity on
the permaLine to 30 or 60 μS/cm. If PT-PHI is not needed (if the pH value is to be lowered),
60 or 90 μS/cm should be selected.
