3.3 Install a digital extension cable
Use a digital extension cable to connect the digital gateway to an SC1000 Controller. Refer to

on page 28 for the cable lengths available.
Prevent kinks and tight bends in the cable. Install the supplied ferrites on the cable. The ferrite
locations on the cable are important. Refer to
Figure
7.

3.4 Scan for new devices
If the controller does not recognize the sensor unit, select SC1000 SETUP > DEVICE
MANAGEMENT > SCANNING FOR NEW DEVICES or restart the controller.
