A symbol next to the control knob indicates which burner is
being operated. Each burner is fully adjustable between high
and low settings.
Spark ignition
Push in the control knob and turn it to the left to the high setting.
The burner will ignite.
▷ The control knob should be pushed in and held for about
10 seconds because of the flame safeguard.
Flame safeguard
Your gas hob has a flame failure device. This ensures that the gas
supply is shut off if the flame goes out during cooking.
• Hold the control knob at the highest setting for about 10 seconds.
This will activate the flame failure device.
If the burner fails to ignite or doesn't stay on, check that:
• the burner cap and burner ring are seated correctly in the
burner housing;
• the burner/spark plug (Ac) and thermocouple (Tc) are clean and dry.
Pans
The recommended pan base diameters are:
• for the rapid burner, at least 22-26 cm;
• for the standard burner, at least 16-20 cm;
• for the simmer burner, at least 12-14 cm.
