11.2.1 Circular saw blade mounting (fig. 3)
To mount the saw blade, perform the following:
• align the openings of saw table and saw spindle, set the lock pin 26, that performs
stopper function, into the openings;
• unscrew the screws 40 and remove casing 39;
• mount circular saw blade 12 on the flange 32 through the groove of saw table (direction
of rotation of circular saw blade is shown by arrow);
• press circular saw blade 12 by support washer 36 and fasten the bolt 38 with washer
37 by means of a wrench;
• mount casing 39 in reverse order;
• remove the lock pin 26.
11.2.2 Mounting and positioning of riving knife (fig. 3)
To mount and position the knife, perform th following:
• screw the nuts 35 on threaded axes 33, set washers 34;
• set the riving knife 6 (downwards) into the groove of saw table, then set the sweep slot
of the knife on threaded axes 33 till hard stop at washers and nuts;
• set the riving knife symmetrically against circular saw blade planes;
• set the spacing between riving knife and circular saw blade teeth. The spacing should
not be more than 5 mm. Perform setting by means of moving the riving knife along
the sweep slot;
• firmly fix the riving knife 6 with washers 34 and nuts 35
11.2.3 Mounting and adjustment of circular saw blade insert (fig. 3)
To mount and adjust the insert, perform the following:
• mount the insert 30 into the groove of saw table;
• adjust the insert 30 so that the mark " " on the insert aligns the center of circular saw
blade;
• secure the insert 30 with screws 29.
11.2.4 Mounting of casing on riving knife (fig. 3)
To mount the casing, perform the following:
• set the casing 5 on riving knife 6;
• set the pin 27 into the casing 5 opening from one side and secure the nut 28 from the
other side.
11.2.5 Fence mounting and adjustment (fig. 3)
To mount and adjust the fence, perform the following:
• attach plate 4 to fence 7 by means of screws 25;
• screw the thumbscrews 16 on clamping plate 31 through the openings in pointer 20
and fence 7;
• mounth the assembled fence on saw table;
• set the fence to the required sawing width by means of measuring scales 21 (fig. 1) on
saw table and secure it with thumbscrews 16 from both sides.
The fence should be tightly pressed to the table at any angle. Fence tilting is performed
the same way as whent planing (par. 11.1.4).
11.3 Cutting across fibers at an angle with an attachment (fig. 1)
Attachment 11 is turned around the axis against circular saw blade, and fixed perpendicular to
circular saw blade cutting plane or at angles from –45° to +45°. Set the requires sawing angle by
turning the attachment 11 and securing it with thumbscrew 10. Move the blank towards circular
saw blade, pressing it to the attachment, along the saw table 3 uniformly with no jerking.
If there is no need to use the attachment just move it to the far end of saw table and turn
around the axis as shown in figure 3.
