The processed blank should be checked for the presence of metal or mineral inclusions (nails,
clips, debris, rocks etc.). Do not process materials that have cracks, loose knots, rottenness or
other wood faults.
During cross-cutting of round timber, supply blanks by moving them over the table surface,
not by rolling.
Blanks should not be moist. The recommended moisture content is not more than 22%.
7.5 Working stance and blank supply
The correct working stance of the operator is standing position. To supply the blank, the
operator should stand in off-center position, near the supply point.
During surface planing, move the blank over the table surface pressing it to the fence. Doing
that, keep fingers joined and hold the blank at the top by both hands. Correct hands position:
one hand is on the blank's top surface over the outfeed table, the other hand - on the blank's
top surface over the loading table.
Blanks should be planed along the full length and not be moved backwards over the rotating
cutter block. Blanks with a thickness of less than 60 mm should be planed with the usage of
clamping device.
When sawing, blanks should be held by fingers and moved straight along the loading table
with no tilting, with the usage of fence.
Keep your hands in safe distance from cutting point.
Blank supply should be uniform (with no jerking). Supply speed should provide stable machine
operation and prevent its overload.
For processing the blanks shorter than 300 mm, use the pusher.
7.6 Normal machine operation conditions
Normal machine operation conditions when processing wood of medium hardness at maximal
depth and width at a single pass when blanks are supplied manually is 1.5 m/min – for planing
and 1 m/min – for cutting.
8. MARKING AND PACKAGING
The machine has information plate with power source specifications. Follow them when
connecting the machine.
When transporting and storing the machine, follow the requirements of marking located on
individual packaging.
Do not put your hands in processing zone when the machine is running.
Contact with tools may cause injury.
Use dust mask.
