Starting the water heater
Warning
The installation an first commissioning should be done by a certified installer. Always
turn off the power supply before opening the door of the control unit. Any maintenance
and troubleshooting should be done by qualified personnel. Never work on the water
heater while the water heater is still under power.
Caution
For safety reasons ensure that children do nit play with the water heater.
This chapter covers the following topics:
Staring the water heater.
Water heater operating cycle.
Start the water heater as follows:
1. Fill the water heater (4 "Filling").
2. Switch on the power to the water heater using the isolator between the water heater
and the power supply.
3. Switch the ON/OFF-switch on the control unit to position I.
4. Switch the elements on:

For the 15 kW en 30 kW water heaters, switch the "Heating 1"-switch, on the
control unit, to position 1. The "Heating 2"-switch is not applicable for the water
heaters.

For the 45 kW en 60 kW water heater, switch the "Heating 1"- and "Heating 2"-
switch, on the control unit, to position 1.
The water heater is under water pressure (up to 8 bar (= 800 kPa)). These is supplied as
much cold water as the is consumed hot water. The regulation thermostat automatically
switches the power supply. This means that if the water temperature drops below the set
temperature, the circuit is closed and the is supplied to the water. The circuit is opened
when the desired water temperature is reached.
