5. Use
The moving head is controlled through the control box. The latter is activated by an external DMX input or via the
music. The built-in microphone activates the various beams in case of music-controlled operation.
DIP switch settings :
1 – 9 : determine the address of the controller when used in DMX mode
10
: selects music-controlled operation
11
: focus mode : makes the device display a white full circle, which makes it easier to focus the lens.
12
: reverse pan : this facilitates the programming of the control system e.g. in case of ceiling mounting
13.
: reverse tilt : this facilitates the programming of the control system e.g. in case of ceiling mounting.
14
: terminator : enable when the device is in DMX mode and the controller is the last device in the DMX chain.
15
: not connected
16
: not connected
The DMX starting address of the controller is defined by the first 9 DIP switches. The encoding is binary : DIP switch 1
has value 1, DIP switch 2 is worth 2, DIP switch 3 has value 4, DIP switch 4 is worth 8... DIP switch 9 has value 256.
Example : start address 95 : 111110100 = 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 + 16 + 0 + 64 + 0 + 0 = 95.
The moving head is controlled by 8 DMX channels :
