The housing becomes hot during operation. There is a risk of
burns.
When using any baked goods other than standard sliced
bread, there is additional risk of burns since their small size
may result in hot parts being touched.
Therefore, during operation, only touch the appliance using the
buttons and handles provided for this purpose.
Only move or clean the toaster after it has cooled down. Hold the
housing by the sides when moving the appliance.

Material damage due to improper use/incorrect appliance
set-up.
Place the appliance on a stable, level surface.
Never place the appliance on the edge of a table – it could tip
over and fall.
Ensure that the mains cable does not become a tripping hazard
and do not use an extension cable. Do not allow the mains cable
to hang over the edge of the worktop.
Never use a knife or other metal objects to remove slices of bread
that have become stuck. The heating elements could be damaged
(see "9.3. Removing slices of bread that have become stuck" on
page 34).
Do not use any aggressive chemical agents, scouring agents, hard
sponges etc. for cleaning. They can scratch the appliance surface.
Chemical additives in furniture coatings may corrode the material of
the appliance feet and create a residue on the furniture surface.
Place the appliance on a heat-resistant surface if necessary.
