Changing the unit of measure
With the unit switched on, press and hold the measuring base/unit
change button for approx. 2 seconds. Release the button after the
unit of measure has been changed on the display. The units change
in the following cycle: metres/inches/feet/feet + inches.
Single measurement mode
Start the device by briefl y pressing the on/measuring button, then by
briefl y pressing the measuring base/unit button select from where
the distance will be measured. Two settings are available: from the
front edge or rear edge of the distance meter. The appropriate ap-
pearance of the measurement basis indicator indicates the selection
confi rmation.
Press the power button once; this will activate the laser pointer. Aim
the laser dot at a place to which the distance will be measured, and
then press the power switch again. The distance meter measures
the distance, and the result is shown in the last measurement fi eld.
In the case of subsequent measurements, the results of previous
measurements will move up the display to the previous measurement
results fi eld, and at the same, they will be saved in the subsequent
memory banks.
Continuous measurement mode
Continuous measurement is a type of direct measurement that al-
lows measurement in motion. When moving the distance meter, the
measured distance increases or decreases, and it is displayed contin-
uously. This makes it possible, for example, to determine the distance
to be travelled when approaching or moving away from the surface
to be measured.
Switch on the device and press and hold the power switch/continuous
measurement button for approx. 2 s. The device will switch to the
continuous measurement mode. This is indicated by the continuous
measurement symbol and the "MIN" and "MAX" symbols appearing
on the display. Move the distance meter reading the values on the
display. The distance meter automatically saves minimum and maxi-
mum distance measured and shows them on the display. To return to
the single measurement mode, press the power switch button twice.
ATTENTION! If the error message "Err 15" appears on the display,
measure the distance to the target within the measuring range.
Area measurement (II)
ATTENTION! It is possible to measure the area of only one rectangu-
lar area at a time. Areas with diff erent shapes need to be divided into
rectangles and then measured separately, totalling the results of the
separate measurements up.
