CAUTION
Pumps can start up unexpectedly.
Before undertaking maintenance or repair work on the system, switch it off or disconnect it from the power supply.
The pump must never run dry or in slurping operation; the multi-vane impeller and pump housing must always be
flooded up to at least the minimum immersion depth.
The pump may not be used if the pressure pipe is not connected.
The pump builds up a pumping pressure/excess pressure.
Operating and maintenance instructions must be kept available at the product.
2.2
Personnel - qualification
The relevant operational safety regulations and the hazardous substances ordinance or national equivalents apply for the
operation of the system.
The operator of the system must:
prepare a risk assessment
identify and demarcate corresponding hazard zones
carry out safety training
secure the system against unauthorised use.
Person
1)
Operating company
Technical expert, (familiar with,
understands operating instructions)
Technical specialist, (technical
worker, per installation instruc-
tions and execution standards)
Electrical specialist VDE 0105
(per regulations for electrical
safety, or per national equivalents)

Intended use
The pumping station Aquapump XL is used for the collection and automatic lifting of wastewater above the backwater level.
There is a variant for faecal and faecal-free wastewater with submersible black water pump with macerating system (STZ).
Another variant only for faecal-free wastewater, with submersible grey water pump (GTF or GTK) is also available.
Use in a potentially explosive environment is only permissible when the system has the respective configuration (ATEX-
certified).
Domestic wastewater is the only pumping medium possible.
Observe regional and local municipal regulations - maximum wastewater temperatures (e.g. 35 °C) are often stipulated,
amongst other things.
All conversions or attachments that are carried out without the express and written permission of the manufacturer, the use
of non-genuine spare parts and repairs carried out by companies or persons not approved by the manufacturer will lead to a
loss of warranty.

Product description
Variants
The systems of the Aquapump XL series for wet installation are available as variants for faecal wastewater and for fae-
cal-free wastewater. The Mono and Duo variants are equipped with one or two pumps respectively. The layout and piping of
the two variants is designed symmetrically in order to make later conversion possible (Mono to Duo and vice versa).
Aquapump XL for faecal wastewater is equipped with a submersible black water pump with macerating system (STZ).
When configured accordingly (pump, level measurement and control unit), this system variant fulfils ATEX requirements.
Aquapump XL for faecal-free wastewater is equipped with submersible grey water pumps which are equipped either with a
multi-vane impeller or channel impeller (GTF or GTK).
Control
The system starts up automatically through the control unit. For this, the control unit processes the signals from level mea-
surement.
