• Do not shake the device. Avoid brute force when installing or operating the device.
• Select a location where the device will be protected against extreme heat, moisture and dust. Respect a min.

• Secure the device with an appropriate safety cable (VDLSC7 or VDLSC8).
• Do not use the device if the ambient temperature exceeds 45°C. The max. temperature for the housing is 130°C
• Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it. Do not permit operation by unqualified
people. Any damage that may occur will probably be due to unprofessional use of the device.
• Use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.
• Note that all modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
• Only use the device for its intended purpose. All other uses may lead to short circuits, burns, electroshocks, lamp
explosion, crash, etc. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
4. Installation
a) Installing or Replacing a Lamp
CAUTION
: Only install a lamp when the device is unplugged from the mains and replace it if it has been
damaged in any way.
• The lamps can reach temperatures of up to 700°C during operation, so you should let them cool down for at least
10 minutes before replacing them
• Do not touch the halogen bulbs with your bare hands. Use a cloth to handle the lamps during insertion and
removal.
• Do not install lamps with a higher wattage as they generate higher temperatures than those for which the device
is designed.
• Use two JDC G6.35 lamps (120V/300W). Reference: LAMP300/120 or LAMP300/120OS.
1. Unscrew the cover on the side of the housing that holds the half ball with the coloured lenses.
2. Gently pivot the half ball.
3. Remove the old lamp and insert the new one.
4. Carefully reposition the half ball.
5. Fasten the cover.
Note: Do not operate the device with an open cover!
b) Replacing the Fuse
If a lamp burns out, chances are this will also happen with the fuse on the rear panel. Only replace the fuse with an
identical one (see "Technical Specifications"). Unplug the device from the mains before replacing the fuse.
Install one 5 x 20mm fuse (5A/250Vac) with reference FF5N.
1. Unscrew the cover of the fuse compartment on the rear panel.
2. Remove the old fuse and replace it with a new one with the same technical specifications.
3. Replace the cover of the fuse compartment and screw it down.
