Zone function

The 'extra zone element' function can be used to activate an extra zone
element. Which elements may be activated, is shown by the graphics
on the ceramic top.
Double zone
A zone with two rings or spaces is a double zone. Only "do" can be set.
Triple zone
A zone with three rings is a triple zone. Both "do" and "tr" may be set.
Bridge zone
A zone with a "bridge" between the elements is a bridge zone. Both
zones may be used separately, or both at the same time. When the zone
button is pressed for one of the zones, both zones are connected by a
bridge element. A large cooking zone is now activated. The control panel
of the pressed zone button can now be used to operate the entire bridge
zone. The other control panel will only show the chosen setting.
Activating an extra zone element
The cooking zone is switched on.
• Press the "extra zone element button" for 2 seconds.
Setting 12 appears and disappears. Then "zone" flashes in the
display and the "extra zone element menu" is active.
• Press the "extra zone element button" again, or hold it to scroll
through the different functions.
• The function visible in the display automatically starts after 3
seconds.
The chosen setting disappears and the current setting is visible
again. "zone" is statically illuminated in the display to indicate that
an extra zone element is active.
• Repeat the steps above to adjust the chosen setting.
Switching off an extra zone element
The extra zone element function is activated, "zone" is statically
illuminated in the display.
• Press the "extra zone element button" for 2 seconds.
• Press the "extra zone element button" again, or hold it until no
function is visible below "zone".
