b) Assembly & Operation
• The product should only be used in closed, dry indoor areas; it must not become
damp or wet. There is the risk of a fatal electric shock!
• The device is designed according to protection class I. The protected earth
conductor must be connected.
• The product must only operated installed firmly in place; operation is only
permissible when the casing is closed and screwed shut completely.
• Do not use the product inside of rooms or in bad ambient conditions where
flammable gases, vapours or explosive dust may be or are present! There is a
danger of explosion!
• Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or strong
mechanical stress.
• If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must be
turned off and precautions are to be taken to ensure that it is not used uninten-
tionally. Then have the product inspected by a specialist.
It must be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device shows visible signs of damage,
- the product does not work or not work properly (smoke or burnt smell, audible
crackling, discolouration of the product or adjacent surfaces)
- the device has been stored for a long time under unfavourable conditions or
- after the device has been exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport
