General Warnings
• A drip tray must be installed under the water heater if it is located in
a false ceiling, attic or above living quarters. A drain connected to the
sewer is required.
• Place the appliance in an accessible location.
• Refer to the installation diagrams in chapter 2.
• This water heater is sold with a thermostat with an operating tem
perature above 60°C in the maximum position to limit the growth of
Legionella bacteria in the tank.
Caution, above 50°C, the water can immediately cause serious burns.
Pay attention to the water temperature before a bath or shower.
WATER CONNECTION
• A new safety unit, calibrated at 0,7 MPa (7bar) (not supplied with
the water heater), 1'' in size and compliant with standard EN 1487
must be screwed directly onto the water heater's cold water inlet.
It must be protected from frost (minimum 4°C to 5°C).
• A pressure reducer (not supplied) is required when the feed pressure
is greater than 0,5 MPa (5 bar). It must be fitted to the cold water
inlet, after the meter.
• Connect the safety unit to a drain pipe, kept in the open air, in an
environment not subject to frost (4°C to 5°C min.), on a continuous
downward gradient in order to drain the expansion water from
the heater or if draining the water heater.
• The safety unit's draining device must be switched on periodically
(at least once a month). This operation enables any limescale deposits
to be removed and to check that it is not blocked.
• To drain the appliance, turn it off, shut off the cold water supply,
then drain it using the safety unit handle having already turned
on a cold water valve.
