5.3 Mounti ng and removing the display
To mount the display, press the lever on the holder while sliding
the display towards the rear of the bicycle into the holder, unti l you
hear a click. To remove the display, press the lever while sliding
the display towards the front of the bicycle out of the holder.
TIP
The best mounti ng angle for the display depends on what is
best for the rider. (Adjust the display mount angle by loose-
ning the display holder bolt.)
Do not remove it while riding.
Make sure the display is turned off before mounti ng
or removing it.
5.4 Voeding aan/uit
Each ti me you press the power switch, the power switches between
"On" and "Off ".
When you turn on the power, all of the displays light up. Aft er that,
the batt ery capacity indicator, speedometer, assist power meter,
the functi on display such as average bicycle speed, and "STD" of
assist mode indicator, and clock and thermometer are displayed.
TIP
• When you turn on the power, the assist mode is automati -
cally set to Standard mode.
• Keep your feet off the pedals when turning on the display
unit. Also, do not start riding immediately aft er turning on
the display unit. Doing so could weaken the assist power.
(Weak assist power in either of these cases is not a
malfuncti on.) If you did either of the above by accident,
remove your feet from the pedals, turn on the power again,
and wait a moment (approximately two seconds) before
starti ng to ride.

5.5 Displaying and switching the assist mode
The assist mode indicator displays the selected assist mode.
• When you press the assist mode switch (up), the mode changes
from "OFF" to "ECO" to "STD", or from "STD" to "HIGH".
• When you press the assist mode switch (down), the mode
changes from "HIGH" to "STD", or from "STD" to "ECO", or
"ECO" to "OFF".
TIP
Further pressing of the assist mode switch will not cycle the
assist mode selecti ons.
In the Off mode, the assist mode and assist power meter are
not displayed.
5.6 Speedometer
The speedometer displays your bicycle speed (in kilometers per
hour or miles per hour).
To select the km/mile, see 'Clock and km/mile setti ngs'.
TIP
If your bicycle speed is less than 0.5 km/u or 0.3 MPH,
the speedometer displays '0.0 km/h' or '0.0 MPH'.
5.7 Batt ery capacity indicator
The batt ery capacity indicator displays an esti mate of how much
capacity is left in the batt ery on an 11-segment scale.
