9. Commissioning
a) Inserting the Batteries in the Transmitter
• Switch the transmitter off via the on/off switch (A) (switch position "OFF").
• Turn out the screw (H) of the battery compartment lid (F) with a suitable screwdriver.
• Carefully bend out the holding clip (G) a little, e.g. with a fingernail, so that the battery compartment lid (F) can be
taken off.
• Insert three type AA/Mignon batteries into the battery compartment with the right polarity (observe plus/+ and
minus/-; see indication in the battery compartment and on the batteries).
• Correctly install the battery compartment lid (F) again and close it until the holding clip (G) latches. Then tighten the
screw (H) again (do not apply any force!).
When using rechargeable batteries in the transmitter, the operating duration will reduce due to the low
voltage (rated voltage of the battery = 1.5 V, rechargeable battery = 1.2 V). If you want to use rechargeable
batteries anyway, we recommend use of NiMH rechargeable batteries with low self-discharge. For reasons
of operational safety, however, use batteries instead of rechargeable batteries.
b) Inserting the Drive Battery into the Vehicle
• Switch off the vehicle first with the on/off switch (L) at
the bottom (switch position "OFF").
• Turn out the screw (I) of the battery compartment lid
(K) with a suitable screwdriver.
• Carefully bend out the two holding clips (J) a little, e.g.
with a fingernail, so that the battery compartment lid
(K) can be taken off.
• Connect the drive battery to the corresponding con-
nection cable in the vehicle until the plug latches. The
plug and socket are protected against polarity rever-
sal by their special shapes.
Do not apply any force when plugging in the drive
battery. The plug connection can be closed with very
little force.
• Correctly install the battery compartment lid (K) again and close it until the two holding clips (J) latch. Then tighten
the screw (I) again (do not apply any force!).
