Ceramic window
ATTENTION! The appliance must be cooled down prior to cleaning the glass.
Although the stove has a window ventilation system, there may still be some deposits on the glass. You can
remove any deposits with a special window cleaner, which you can leave to work in if you wish. Never
clean the window with an abrasive and/or scouring sponge. These substances scratch the coating.
By applying the following tips and tricks you can prevent damage to the glass.
•
When filling wood prevent logs from falling against the glass.
•
Don't put too much pressure on the glass during cleaning.
•
Check the voltage on the window when the appliance is first used (both for a new appliance and when
it is first used after summer). There should be a slight slack in the window, otherwise the voltage
should be removed before using the appliance for the first time.
When installing the double-glazed side windows, the first glass is placed on the side of the combustion
chamber, with the coating on the outside. Then, the second glass is installed without the coating. The door
has ordinary glass twice.
Heat-resistant glass or ceramic glass can withstand very high temperatures. Heat-resistant glass has a Heat
Reflective coating. This metal coating reflects some of the infrared rays back to the combustion chamber. In
this way, the temperature of the combustion chamber increases and so does the quality of combustion. The
higher temperature of the glass also causes the soot particles that get on the glass to burn, keeping the
glass clean. The Heat Relfective coating thus has a self-cleaning function.
If the glass breaks, then please consult your dealer.
Before and after the heating season
After the heating season (i.e. during the summer months) it's recommended to remove or seal the flue pipe
between the stove and chimney in order to prevent condensation and/or corrosion in the stove. This
increases the lifetime of your stove.
