7.2 The flue gas duct
The following requirements apply to the flue gas duct:
• The flue must be inspected beforehand by a specialist.
• The flue must be suitable for connection of a wood-burning appliance.
• The appliance must be connected to a single, undivided flue.
• The flue gas duct must be clean.
• The flue gas duct must be gas-tight.
• The drag in the flue may not exceed 1.5 metres with a minimum angle of 45 degrees from the
horizontal.
• For rear connection to the appliance, the horizontal section of the flue may not exceed 500 mm.
Hereafter again vertically upwards.
• When using the rear connection of the appliance to the vertical flue, a T-piece with soot bag must be
used.
• The diameter of the flue must be at least equal to the diameter of the flue pipe of the appliance.
• The draught of the flue gas duct must be at least 12 Pascal.
• In a (too) strong draught flue, a flue gas valve should be fitted if necessary the position of the efficiency
plate adjusted (see page 47)
• Stovepipes should be installed draining to the appliance.
• The flue must be self-supporting and may not rest on the appliance.
ATTENTION!
Always consult the manufacturer's installation instructions before installing the flue system.
7.3 Conversion from top to rear connection
The appliance comes with a top connection as standard. This can easily be converted to a rear connection.
• Remove the round back plate from the casing (break it out by moving back and forth).
• Carefully remove the retaining plate inside the appliance.
