Firstly, congratulations with your new bike! From now on,
daily trips and longer bike rides will be something to look
forward to. Not least because this new electric bike offers a
great pedal assistance. Using this practical set of
instructions and images provided here, you'll be ready to
go out on the road safely, in no time. So read this manual
carefully and follow the various steps described here.
Urban & Urban Plus
We recommend at all times, having the bike assembled by
our relevant dealer, whether online or through a physical
shop. That way, you know that the bike has been checked by
a specialist who is familiar with the bike. If you have ordered
the bike online with assembly, you only need to straighten
the handlebar, adjust the saddle and handlebar to the
correct height and mount the pedals. These steps are
described in this manual. All other necessary assembly and
maintenance operations are also described. Always check
these.
PREPARATION
First note the frame number of your bike, which you can find
on the underside of the bottom bracket. You may need this
for the insurance and for the declaration if the bicycle is ever
stolen. Prevent damage to the bicycle by working on a soft
surface. After you have completely assembled the bicycle, it
is important that you adjust it properly to your height so that
you adopt a good cycling position.
1.PEDALS
Attach the right pedal to the right crank and the left pedal to
the left crank. You can determine this by sitting on the bike
and putting the feet on the pedals. The left foot now rests on
the left pedal, and the right foot on the right pedal. Do not
mount them the other way around, otherwise you will
damage the thread bearing. Apply some mounting paste or
grease to the pedal threads. Turn the pedal axle by hand into
the correct side of the crankset. Firmly secure the pedal
with wrench crank 15. Turn the left pedal
COUNTER-CLOCKWISE into the left crank, and the right
pedal CLOCKWISE into the right crank.
2.SADDLE AND SEAT POST
The height of the seat can be set by adjusting the seat post
higher or lower. Check your position on the bike, put your
right foot on the right pedal and turn it to the lowest
position. The height is appropriately adjusted if your knee is
now slightly bent. Do this for the left leg as well. Lower the
seat if you need to stretch the leg to get to the lower pedal.
Adjust the seat higher if your knees are more than slightly
bent. Loosen the bolt (A) by the seat clamp with an Allen key.
Slide the seat up or down and secure it at the new height.
