13.MAINTENANCE
Every bicycle needs maintenance. The first service must be
carried out at the latest after +/- 500 km or after 3 months.
This first service is very important because after the first use,
certain parts can become loose and brakes and gears can
slip. These must then be readjusted. The spokes must also
be tensioned and the wheels aligned.
The main points of attention of the first service are:
•
Thoroughly clean the bicycle.
•
Check wheels for play, spoke tension and possible
run-out.
•
Headset clearance (fork bearings).
•
Check cranks.
•
Adjust brakes + gears.
•
Check tires for wear and adjust to the correct pressure.
•
Check lighting for operation.
•
Check the bicycle further for any loose bolts or nuts or
other defects.
•
Make sure the bike is stored in a warm, dry place to
avoid breakdowns.
•
Provide all important parts with the correct lubricants.
These parts are;

Chain

Cables
•
Gears - Levers
•
Standard
•
Key lock
14.WARRANTY

On your bike you have:
•
Five-year warranty on frame and fixed front fork.
•
Five-year paint warranty against internal rust.
•
Two-year warranty on moving & electric parts, with the
exception of wearing parts such as tires, brake pads and
chain.
