•
Only operate the product for cutting (i.e. when the blades are inserted in the branches).
•
Improper use causes greater wear on the product and does not save battery consumption.
•
Never disconnect the battery while the tool is in use.
•
Never stop under a branch being cut and evaluate the falling space of the cut branches. The branches
that fall to the ground may bounce and cause injuries.
•
Hold the extension pole obliquely and do not exceed a 60° angle with respect to the horizontal plane.
•
In the extension pole configuration, ensure before and during all use that you have full visual control of
the operating area, in order to avoid damage to property, persons and/or animals.
In the event of operational difficulties during cutting activities, stop the job immediately in order to avoid damage to
the product or dangerous conditions for people and check the blade's condition and/or correct operating conditions.
6.2.3
STOPPING THE PRODUCT
• Before storing the product after use, be sure to close the blade (3) to avoid dangerous conditions. Pressing and
holding the operating lever (1) will close the blade.
• Next, press the ON/OFF switch (5) for at least one second to switch off the shear.
• Remove the battery (13) by simultaneously pressing the two side buttons (14) to release the safety catch and
then slide the battery upwards, as shown below.
CAUTION
Do not place or leave the product unattended with the cutting blade (3) open, in order to avoid danger or
damage to property or persons.
6.3 WORKING AND SECTIONING INSTRUCTIONS
This section describes the correct way to perform the sectioning cut.
6.3.1
SECTIONING CUT
With the shear switched on and ready to operate, insert the blades (2-3) into the branch.
Then start the cutting cycle by pressing the operating lever (1) in order to make the branch sectioning cut.
If the branch is oversized (larger than the permitted size) or too hard, the cut may not be successful.
Under these conditions, the sensors in the shear do not detect the end of the cutting cycle and therefore the blades
automatically reopen.
Before proceeding with a further cutting cycle, ensure that the branch is of the appropriate size (see paragraph 2.2)
for the type of shear being used. In the case of branches that are too hard, refer to paragraph 6.3.2.
