4.12 SAFETY DEVICES APPLIED TO THE PRODUCT
The product is equipped with the following safety devices.
FIXED GUARD
DEVICE AGAINST ACCIDENTAL START-UP
4.12.1 FIXED GUARDS
Fixed protections consist of fixed guards and/or casings installed on the product, whose function is to prevent access
to internal parts or moving parts during the operating cycle. With the exclusion of the cutting blade area where no
protection is possible because of the specific function of the equipment.
Placed in restricted access areas during maintenance, they require specific tools for their removal.
Fixed guards are the protective shells of the product's mechanics, which also include protection of the operating lever
against unintentional activation of the product (shocks, dropping the product, etc.)
DANGER
It is absolutely forbidden to operate the product, following maintenance, without properly reinstalling the fixed
guards, as well as to use it without them.
It is strictly forbidden to tamper with the product by attempting, by any means, to circumvent a fixed protection
by taking advantage of possible indirect passages due to but failed or partial repositioning of protections or
where all fixing screws have not been repositioned as originally intended by the manufacturer.
NOTE
Periodically check the integrity of the fixed guards and their fixings, paying particular attention to the access
guards to the product mechanics.
4.12.2 DEVICE AGAINST ACCIDENTAL START-UP
The product is equipped with a device against accidental start-up, consisting of a control built into the electronics,
which allows the product to be started up only following a double click on the operating lever, as indicated in
paragraph 3.5.
This is to prevent the blade from starting up in the event of accidental impact.
Check the correct functioning of the device against accidental start-up periodically and before each use.
4.13 RESIDUAL RISKS
During the design phase, risk zones or parts were assessed and all necessary precautions were taken to avoid risks
to persons and damage to product components, as outlined in the previous paragraphs.
CAUTION
Periodically check that of all safety devices work properly.
Do not dismantle fixed or movable guards on the product. Do not bring foreign objects or tools into the
operation, working and maintenance area of the product.
Although the product is equipped with the above-mentioned safety systems, some risks remain that cannot be
eliminated, but can be reduced by corrective actions by the end user and by correct operating methods that are
mandatory for anyone operating on the product.
Below is a summary of the risks that remain for the product during normal operation, adjustment and set-up,
maintenance and cleaning.
