Checking and charging the
rechargeable battery for
generator operation
If Geberit washbasin taps with generator operation
are used less than around 50 x per day, the
rechargeable battery will not be sufficiently
charged. When the rechargeable battery is almost
empty, the red LED will flash during flush actuation.

When the rechargeable battery is connected to a
battery charger, the LED on the battery will indicate
the following operating states:

Prerequisite
– A standard battery charger with a micro-USB
connector is available.
– There are no objects in the washbasin.

Detach the cover plate. → See figure
sequence

Remove the power supply cable from its
bracket and remove the rechargeable
battery. → See figure sequence
page 328.

Connect the battery charger to the USB
socket on the rechargeable battery.

Charge the rechargeable battery until the
LED on the battery lights up green
continuously (this will take around 5 hours).

Unplug the battery charger.

Insert the rechargeable battery and snap the
power supply cable into the bracket.

Hold your hand under the washbasin tap to
test the function.

The rechargeable battery can also be
removed completely from the function box
for charging. Unplug the power supply cable
and generator cable.
Settings by skilled persons
If the following settings need to be made, contact a
skilled person:
• Setting the detection range of the IR sensor
• Setting the run-on time
• Activating economy mode
• Activating the interval flush
• Carrying out malfunction diagnosis
