– Vibration emission value a
h
– Uncertainty K
The vibration level and noise emission value given in these
instructions have been measured in accordance with a
standardised measuring procedure and may be used to com-
pare power tools. They may also be used for a preliminary
estimation of vibration and noise emissions.
The stated vibration level and noise emission value repres-
ent the main applications of the power tool. However, if the
power tool is used for other applications, with different ac-
cessories or is poorly maintained, the vibration level and
noise emission value may differ. This may significantly in-
crease the vibration and noise emissions over the total work-
ing period.
Assembly
Hold the twist lock when pulling off the tube/cutting
u
head.
Put on the blade cover during all assembly work.
u
Perform a full cutting cycle before starting work to check
u
that the linkage is fully connected.
Mounting/Dismounting the cutting head (see
figures B − C)
As shown in figure B, slide the cutting head (3) into the ma-
chine, lining up the arrows.
Press the cutting head (3) firmly into the machine.
Screw the twist lock (4) firmly to the right to lock the cutting
head (3).
To remove the cutting head (3) unscrew the twist lock (4)
gripping the red twist lock (4) to pull off the cutting head
(3).
Reverse the assembly procedure for disassembly.
Note: When removing the cutting head, hold and pull with
the twist lock (4).
Mounting/Dismounting the extension (see
figures D − E)
Always use only one extension pole with the tool.
u
Remove the cutting head.
Slide the extension (8) into the machine.
Press the extension (8) firmly into the machine.
Screw the twist lock (4) to the right to lock the
extension (8).
Slide the cutting head (3) onto the extension (8).
Press the cutting head (3) firmly into the extension (8).
Turn the twist lock (4) to the right to lock the cutting
head (3) to the extension (8).
Reverse the assembly procedure for disassembly.
Note: When removing the extension pole, hold and pull with
the twist lock (4).

Carrying the machine (see fig. F)
Do not carry the machine by the 360° trigger (6) or exten-
sion (8). Hold the machine by the additional handle (5).
Starting Operation
Remove the battery from the power tool before carry-
u
ing out work on the power tool (e.g. Maintenance,
changing tool, etc.). The battery should also be re-
moved for transport and storage or the event of a
fault. There is risk of injury from unintentionally pressing
the on/off switch.
Inserting/removing the battery (see figure G)
Note: Using unsuitable batteries can lead to malfunctions of
or cause damage to the power tool.
Insert the charged battery (11). Make sure that the battery
is fully fitted.
To remove the battery (11) from the machine, press the bat-
tery unlocking button (10) and pull the battery out.
Battery status indicator (see figure H)
The battery status indicator (7) indicates the remaining bat-
tery capacity or an overload when the power tool is switched
on.
