8.7. Performing headlight test
8.7.1. Preconditions for the Headlight Test
Ensure the following before starting a headlight test:
• All preconditions listed in section Preparing headlight test [} 119] are fulfilled.
• The device is placed correctly in front of the vehicle (see section Aligning the Optic Housing to the Vehicle
[} 125]).
• The data records required for the documented test are entered (see section Documented test [} 128]).
8.7.2. Test Screen
The following is displayed on the test screen:
• Light intensity in Lux (lx) or Candela (cd)
• Headlight inclination in %
• Asymmetry in %
• Setting recommendations via direction arrows
• Current test headlight
• Light type of the current test
• Blue cross: Zero point of device
• Yellow lines: Upper and lower tolerance limit
• Green line: Current position of the light/dark boundary
• Drop-down list 1: Choice between automatic or manual mode
• Drop-down list 2: Choice between asymmetrical and symmetrical low beam
