If possible, use original trunking or other suitable options such as trim edges, ventilation grilles, or blind
plugs to route the cables. If there are no openings, holes must be drilled for the cables.
•
If possible, lay the cables inside the vehicle. If a cable has to be laid outside the vehicle, ensure the cable is
well secured (use extra cable ties, insulating tape, etc.).
•
Protect each through hole in the vehicle housing against water penetration, e. g, by using a cable with
sealant and spraying the cable and the sleeve with sealant.
NOTE Do not start sealing through holes until all installation work on the camera has been
completed.
7.2
Installation location
Observe the following:
•
The installation surface of the camera must be firm.
•
The location on the vehicle body where the camera is to be installed must be firm enough to securely
mount the camera.
•
The cameras must be mounted as high as possible and close to the center of the vehicle as possible.

Positioning the cameras

Connect the camera system (Fig. ) according to the wiring diagram (Fig. ).
