11.3 Compressor
(Option)
Use selector switch S9 to select manual or automatic operation of
the compressor.
11.3.1 Manual operation
Selector switch set to manual operation
If selector switch (S9) is set to manual operation, the compressor
can be switched on and off manually by means of buttons
S11 (compressor on) and S10 (compressor off).
Indicator light H8 (compressor is running) will illuminate if the
compressor is switched on manually by means of button
S11 (compressor on).
Switch off the compressor by means of button S10 (compressor
off).
Indicator light H10 (compressor fault) will illuminate when the
motor circuit breaker is activated.
The compressor will switch off automatically in this case.
The fault indication will disappear when the motor circuit breaker
has been reset manually.
11.3.2 Automatic operation
Selector switch set to automatic operation
During automatic operation, the compressor is controlled by an
external pressure switch, for example fitted to the pressure tank.
The compressor will start automatically when the starting
pressure is reached. Indicator light H8 (compressor is running)
will illuminate.
A delayed start-up will occur if the water level in the pressure tank
is below the normal level, and selector switch S6 for the jockey
pump is set to automatic operation.
The jockey pump will be controlled until the normal water level is
reached.
The compressor will subsequently enter into time-delayed
operation (this only applies if selector switch S6 for the jockey
pump and selector switch S9 for the compressor are set to
automatic operation).
The compressor will stop automatically when the nominal
pressure level is reached. If the compressor is switched off
manually before the nominal pressure has been reached,
indicator light H9 (compressor is manually switched off) will
illuminate. The indication will disappear when the nominal
pressure has been reached, or if the compressor is switched on
again.
11.3.3 Potential-free signalling
•
Compressor is running:
1 changeover contact.
•
Compressor fault:
1 changeover contact.
•
Compressor manually switched off (only automatic mode):
1 changeover contact.

11.4 Pressure-maintaining pump
(Option)
Use selector switch S12 to select manual or automatic operation
of the pressure-maintaining pump.
11.4.1 Manual operation
Selector switch set to manual operation
If selector switch S12 is set to manual operation, the pressure-
maintaining pump can be switched on and off manually by means
of buttons S14 (pressure-maintaining pump on) and
S13 (pressure-maintaining pump off).
Switch on the pressure-maintaining pump by means of button
S14 (pressure-maintaining pump on).
Indicator light H11 (pressure-maintaining pump is operating) will
illuminate.
Switch off the pressure-maintaining pump by means of button
S13 (pressure-maintaining pump off).
Indicator light H13 (pressure-maintaining pump fault) will
illuminate when the motor circuit breaker is activated, and the
pressure-maintaining pump will stop automatically.
The fault indication will disappear when the motor circuit breaker
has been reset manually.
11.4.2 Automatic operation
Selector switch set to automatic operation
During automatic operation, the pressure-maintaining pump is
controlled by an external pressure switch.
The pressure-maintaining pump will start automatically when the
starting pressure is reached, and indicator light H11 (pressure-
maintaining pump is operating) will illuminate.
The pump will stop automatically when the nominal pressure level
is reached.
If the pressure-maintaining pump is manually switched off before
the nominal pressure level is reached, indicator light
H12 (pressure maintaining pump is manually switched off) will
illuminate. The indication will disappear when the system
pressure has been reached, or if the pressure-maintaining pump
is switched on again.
11.4.3 Potential-free signalling
•
Pressure-maintaining pump is running:
1 changeover contact.
•
Pressure-maintaining pump fault:
1 changeover contact.
•
Pressure-maintaining pump manually switched off
(only automatic mode):
