5. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

5.1. MM90 STANDBY WITH PRESSURE SWITCHES
EN
Fig. 1
The MM90 STANDBY manifold covered by these instructions is designed to be used as a third
source of supply in medical central gas systems. The manifold will deliver gas when the nominal
supply system pressure falls below a set level. This is a back up source.
The manifold consists of manifold pressure regulator A , inlet shut off valve B and purge valve
C. Pressure gauge D is fi tted to the inlet side downstream of B. It shows the content pressure of
the cylinder bank. An extra gauge E is also fi tted to outlet F to show the outlet pressure. Pres-
sure switch no. 1 is fi tted to the inlet downstream of B to indicate empty cylinders . Pressure
switches fi tted to the outlet F indicate high no. 2 ("H" marking) and low no. 3 ("L" marking) outlet
pressures. The pressure switches shall be connected to an alarm panel (Gas alarm) or central
monitoring system to give a visual and audible indication of the condition of the manifold.
5.2. MM90 STANDBY WITH 4 20mA WITH PRESSURE SENSORS
The MM90 STANDBY manifold covered by these instructions is designed to be used as a third
source of supply in medical central gas systems. The manifold will deliver gas when the nominal
supply system pressure falls below a set level. This is a backup source.
Pressure sensor No. 1 is fi tted to the inlet downstream of B to indicate empty cylinders.
Pressure sensor No. 2 fi tted to the outlet F indicate high and low outlet pressures.
The pressure sensors shall be connected to an alarm panel (Gas alarm) or central monitoring
system to give a visual and audible indication of the condition of the manifold.
